McKinley is the largest of two high schools serving Canton City, which is one of the eight largest urban school systems in Ohio. McKinley Senior has also been rated as effective by the Ohio Department of Education.

CAREER EDUCATION

McKinley Senior is made up of four small schools within the comprehensive high school.  Each school has a unique career path with its own principal and counselor. Fifteen Career and Technical programs are housed at our sister school, Timken Senior, which allows students to spend half the day at McKinley for academics and extracurricular activities and the other half in their career and tech program. Interested sophomores begin the career and tech path by taking foundations courses.  Approximately 18% of our students pursue this option.
